What if the legacy that matters most is being created in the conversations we have and the lives we touch today?

Delinda Forsythe was my second guest on Conscious Curiosity SD. When we first spoke nearly four years ago, she was preparing to pass the company she founded to the next generation of leaders. She did just that—and began a new chapter of writing, speaking, and traveling with her husband.

Then came a serious cancer diagnosis.

Delinda speaks candidly about the difficulty of treatment and the uncertainty she lives with. She also speaks about the life she is choosing to live right now: time with her family, work on a book about her mother, and every opportunity she can take to be present with the people she loves.

Our conversation explores five ideas that stayed with me:

  • The conversations you are having today are creating tomorrow’s legacy
  • You don’t need a grand achievement to change someone’s life.
  • The people we mentor and encourage carry our influence forward.
  • Don’t wait for a crisis to make a difference.
  • When you look back on your life, will you remember what you accomplished—or who was better because you were here?

I hope you’ll listen to this conversation. And perhaps ask yourself: Your legacy is being written today. What does it say about the way you’re living—and the lives you’re touching?
